The idea was to give a taste of the narrative from the film without giving too much away. The titles show small, distorted close up glimpses of what finally resolves into the seemingly innocent school badge. The lighting is used to bring the audience into the era which is complimented by the music score. The close up imagery reflects the scrutiny and detail which are strong themes within the film. Even once it is resolved it only gives you a small clue as to what is going to happen.
